...is harder than I expected LOL

I took a break from cosplay for 6 months to focus on real life issues and commitments....I got swamped by work during the 6 months and I had just started getting back my groove for cosplaying and working on some cosplay sewing projects for the team for the upcoming Comic Fiesta :)

Oh boy, taking a break from cosplay is akin to not practising your Add Maths for a month and BAM, you have forgotten all your formulae and you cant answer the questions in record time LOL...I was very rusty from the months of inactivity and it showed during my latest shoots *bangs wall* My apologies to the team and to my photogs for being rusty and for being a disappointment >.< I will do better in my future shoots!

Now I understand why some cosplayers keep going for photoshoot after photoshoot like some Energiser bunny (well, some do it for attention and to "keep being relevant in the cosplay community" but those are another stories LOL). I suppose you need the practice to keep the momentum flowing and once you stop, you lose your "groove" so to speak.

Sigh, I find it hard to keep up with these young 'uns, haha! I have more commitments in real life which are more pressing than cosplays (namely work) and I cant seem to be able to work on my cosplays as much as I used to a couple of years ago. Furthermore, as one advance with age, things change- be it physically, mentally or emotionally. I piled on weight faster than I used to and I am more mentally jaded than before....I suppose I am getting too old for cosplay, or that the local cosplay scene has changed so much that it is barely recognisable LOL.

I still love this hobby and I will still do it until the time comes when I no longer have the will and the love for it. Until then, please give me your support and I will do my best m(__)m

On a side note, there will be two major cosplay events descending on Penang next month, namely the Mini Comic Fiesta and Danny Choo's Culture Japan. I havent made up my mind yet as to whether I will attend these events (though I should be happy that I dont have to travel all the way to KL) cuz my weekend duty's schedule isnt out yet @_@ Furthermore, I am not a diehard fan of all those "celebrity cosplayers"/artists who are gracing the events, so I dont see anything that interest me at these events. I might just drop by out of curiosity....If you are in Penang at that time, do drop me a message and if I am free, perhaps a makan-makan session would be good? XD After all, Penang is famous for its food, haha!

Before I sign off for the night, thank you again for your support, DA watch, favourites and comments! I take them as encouragement to improve on my cosplays and I hope I have more to share in future ^__^
