...is harder than I expected LOL
I took a break from cosplay for 6 months to focus on real life issues and commitments....I got swamped by work during the 6 months and I had just started getting back my groove for cosplaying and working on some cosplay sewing projects for the team for the upcoming Comic Fiesta
Oh boy, taking a break from cosplay is akin to not practising your Add Maths for a month and BAM, you have forgotten all your formulae and you cant answer the questions in record time LOL...I was very rusty from the months of inactivity and it showed during my latest shoots *bangs wall* My apologies to the team and to my photogs for being rusty and for being a disappointment >.< I will do better in my future shoots!
Now I understand why some cosplayers keep going for photoshoot after photoshoot like some Energiser bunny (well, some do it for attention and to "keep being relevant in the cosplay community" but those are another stories LOL). I suppose you need the practice to keep the momentum flowing and once you stop, you lose your "groove" so to speak.
Sigh, I find it hard to keep up with these young 'uns, haha! I have more commitments in real life which are more pressing than cosplays (namely work) and I cant seem to be able to work on my cosplays as much as I used to a couple of years ago. Furthermore, as one advance with age, things change- be it physically, mentally or emotionally. I piled on weight faster than I used to and I am more mentally jaded than before....I suppose I am getting too old for cosplay, or that the local cosplay scene has changed so much that it is barely recognisable LOL.
I still love this hobby and I will still do it until the time comes when I no longer have the will and the love for it. Until then, please give me your support and I will do my best m(__)m
On a side note, there will be two major cosplay events descending on Penang next month, namely the Mini Comic Fiesta and Danny Choo's Culture Japan. I havent made up my mind yet as to whether I will attend these events (though I should be happy that I dont have to travel all the way to KL) cuz my weekend duty's schedule isnt out yet @_@ Furthermore, I am not a diehard fan of all those "celebrity cosplayers"/artists who are gracing the events, so I dont see anything that interest me at these events. I might just drop by out of curiosity....If you are in Penang at that time, do drop me a message and if I am free, perhaps a makan-makan session would be good? XD After all, Penang is famous for its food, haha!
Before I sign off for the night, thank you again for your support, DA watch, favourites and comments! I take them as encouragement to improve on my cosplays and I hope I have more to share in future ^__^

J-Rock Cosplay In The Planning
I haven't been updating my DA for a while, so it's time for another update :)
Life has been pretty hectic for me with work piling up and real-life commitments coming into play. Still, I feel cosplay is a good outlet for me to distract myself away from the usual humdrum cycle, haha...I gotta admit though I slowed down pretty much in cosplay >.<
I got one upcoming J-rock cosplay and this full-on leather outfit has been sitting in my cupboard for nearly a year @@ I had the wig styled ages ago but I kinda procrastinated on making the prop....Which kinda explains the delay *orz* I haven't plan out the shoot's details yet cuz I wanna finish
Happy Chinese New Year~
The Chinese community worldwide welcomed the year of the Horse a couple of days ago and traditionally celebrations are on-going for the next 15 days until the 15th day. I am not sure if the 15th day is celebrated in other places around the world but here, in Penang, it's a huge thing.
I admit that I am not very gaga over this New Year thingy cuz all that comes to my mind are: colleagues fighting over leave/cuti, traffic jam, and above all, the "monkey show", aka "wayang", aka all the bootlicking people do in front of their relatives. The phrase, "All the world's a stage and people, merely players" has never seem so true as during New Year. I
My Swansong Comic Fiesta!
Hi everyone!
First and foremost, season's greetings and Merry Xmas to everyone ^_ ^ I am Buddhist but I feel it wont' hurt to spread the Xmas joy during this festive season, hehe...
Comic Fiesta (which so far is the biggest cosplay event in Msia) ended a few days ago and I am still unpacking its aftermath LOL...I went there with two sets of costumes and came back with three LOL! On top of that, I did some shopping at KL's Golden Triangle area...So you can imagine how my luggage was...For the first time, I actually maxed out my 20kg luggage privilege, haha....I rarely hit over 15kg for any domestic flights I did previously LOL..
The hotel r
One Overdue Cosplay Done!
Slowly, slowly, slowly I am clearing out my long, overdue, forgotten, postponed cosplay plan and the first step to that was the completion of the Euphemia photoshoot :)
This cosplay was planned 2-3 years ago and the costume had been sitting in my storage box for about 2 years before I actually dug it out and have a proper shoot for it. In fact, all its accessories were ready and I just need to plan a shoot, wear the costume and give the cosplay its proper debut. It was not to be cuz postponement after postponement, plans changed here and then and it was so long forgotten that I had actually forgotten where I put the accessories @_@
